Dr. Jeff LaMura is originally from the Worcester, Massachusetts area and received his bachelor's degree from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia in 1991. In 1995, he earned his DDS degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, followed by a one year general practice residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and Jefferson Dental Associates in Philadelphia.

Following associate positions at offices in New Jersey and Massachusetts, Dr. LaMura purchased a practice on the Connecticut shoreline in Clinton, CT in 2002 that he owned for ten years. After spending most of his life in New England, he decided it was time to ditch the cold and snowy New England weather for the Raleigh area.

Upon arriving in the Triangle, Dr. LaMura settled in Wake Forest and purchased a small practice in Cary in 2014 that he recently sold. After being a practice owner for the last 20 years, it was time to move on from that part of his career and find a new dental home. This has lead him to Emerald Family Dentistry and he couldn’t be more excited to be working with Dr. Napoli, Dr. Rankin, and the rest of the talented team at EFD. Bringing almost 30 years of experience, he is committed to providing exceptional dental care for patients of all ages. He looks forward to serving the community and fostering long-lasting patient relationships.

Outside of the office, Dr. LaMura is an avid sports fan, especially of his Michigan Wolverines and the Boston Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics, and enjoys playing golf, cooking, traveling, and checking out new breweries and restaurants. He is married to his high school sweetheart, although it took them over 30 years to get back together. They enjoy Disney vacations, going to Carolina Hurricanes games, Airbnb weekend getaways and most of all, spending time with their blended family of six children and four grandchildren.
